The GCC Forum is an exceptional international business matchmaking forum devoted to companies involved in international trade and investments that are looking to grow their business internationally.

The forum will use some state-of-the-art online matchmaking program especially designed by GEOC Group to allocate to each participant up to 12 business meetings with potential partners pre-selected by the participants themselves.

The GCC Forum is expected to attract more than 3,000 companies from more than 170 countries. The Forum will be highlighted by two-day of business matchmaking meetings, half day Conferences & Workshops highlighting partnership between foreign and GCC companies, international exhibition for trade experts and service providers, and a variety of festive and networking activities.

The GCC Forum is a unique platform to learn about business and investment opportunities in the booming Arabian Gulf region, and it is also a valuable opportunity for Gulf companies to establish new commercial, financial, and investment alliances with participating international companies.

Abdul Rahim Hasan NAQI, FGCCC Secretary General, said that the sustained high growth rate and the ongoing infrastructure development plans and diversification projects in Qatar provide an important motive for international companies to expand toward that market looking for untapped business and investment opportunities.

The Gulf common market has also reinforced the competitiveness of Qatar as a regional hub for international companies interested to do business with the Gulf region.

Consequently, the GCC Forum is held in Qatar at the right moment when growth is nonexistent elsewhere. This is reflected in the increased number of participating countries at the forum which bypassed initial expectations reaching 170 countries.

Regarding local companies, the interest of local companies in seeking new international partners has increased in light of the perceived comparative advantaged they now have as result of economic recessions in other part of the world which facilitate concluding strategic, commercial, and technical alliances.

In fact, the current economic crisis has made it mandatory to most local companies to diversify their business lines in order to boost their competitiveness on the long run.

This has been apparent in the rising interest of Qatari and GCC companies to participate at the forum. More than 1,000 companies from the GCC only will take part in the forum.
